Tiana Ramos is missing not having basketball on our courts (watching virtual is all right, but can’t beat the real thing) when she did the photo-bomb thing with Lihu‘e Pharmacy Pharmacist Kevin Glick (mahalo for the help with the flu-shot artwork) and all those pretties.

John Feagans (he’s still trying to get back to Kaua‘i’s Westside but the flights keep getting canceled) is probably going to spend the holidays in Japan. He got a head start on the winter by getting his snow shovel in the car and installing snow tires before the Oct. 1 deadline.

Congratulations to all the volunteers on Kaua‘i for doing what you do. The massive effort of the combined volunteers make possible events like delivering food to kupuna, food distributions to people who need relief from being unemployed, and even collecting items for care packages that show appreciation to the island’s frontline workers.

Belated happy birthday to Leona Perez of the Kaua‘i Independent Food Bank, who offered to get cake from downstairs after the Happy Camper missed the boat on the cake Kelvin Moniz brought in. Her birthday came a day ahead of Orly Yadao opening Orly’s Patisserie in Hokulei Village Shopping Center.

Were you in that line to Orly’s Patisserie when Orly Yadao opened the doors to his shop Tuesday morning (like real early — 6:30 a.m.)? Chantal Zarbaugh had plans to grab some of the goodies before heading to the Kaua‘i Government Employees Federal Credit Union Kilauea Branch, which had plans to open for business that day too.
