State champion among KIF all-stars

LIHUE — Dana Murata, named to the Kauai Interscholastic Federation Girls Bowling All-Stars, topped the roster of wahine bowlers this season with a 195.67 average. She surpassed that performance and went on to become the state girls bowling champion during the state tournament at the Kauai Bowl. She is the third KIF athlete to become a state champion after G. Hayashi earned the title in 1978.
