Laurie Ho, of the Kaua‘i County Farm Bureau, said the new Mother’s Filipino Comfort Food trailer was cute, as Frances and Geraldine Baniaga tried to adjust the new pink trailer (it showed up at the Kapa‘a Branch opening of the Garden Island Federal Credit Union with free plate lunches, last month) into their space at the Pau Hana Market.

Axel Gaetano wins kindergarten level state chess title

ANAHOLA — Axel Gaetano, of Anahola, became the kindergarten level state chess champion after winning his category at the 2024 Guy Ontai State K-12 Chess Championship, which took place at Washington Middle School on O‘ahu on April 20.
