New state sheriff named - The Garden Island

HONOLULU — The Department of Public Safety announced Robin Nagamine was appointed state sheriff. “Robin will bring valuable experience in his new role as Sheriff,” said PSD Director Ted Sakai. “He knows the Sheriff Division and the issues we face.

HONOLULU — The Department of Public Safety announced Robin Nagamine was appointed state sheriff.

“Robin will bring valuable experience in his new role as Sheriff,” said PSD Director Ted Sakai. “He knows the Sheriff Division and the issues we face. He will provide sound leadership and professionalism and ensure that the division operates efficiently.”

Nagamine has been a deputy sheriff for 27 years. He also served as acting sheriff and acting first deputy at various times in his law enforcement career.
