Lani Kawahara (she really enjoyed the Organic Kekaha! event) and her staff at Kapaa Public Library got into the swing of things Wednesday when Christy Wong and the Wong’s Traveling Petting Zoo set up on the library’s front lawn.
Lani and Karen Matsumoto (there’s more than one of them) had animal ears on to celebrate the animal theme during the library’s summer reading program.
Gregg Nitta said the laulau was just coming out of the pots at Pono Market, but unfortunately, Scott Johnson was calling from the Grove Farm Homestead Museum railroad facility.
Scott was putting together his vintage model trains, which will be operating Saturday during the museum’s Old Time Games event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Gary Pacheco will be busy Saturday, starting with the cleanup at the Kilauea Elementary School and moving on to the 5th Annual North Shore Fishing Tournament (Jean Souza is supposed to have something set up there, too).
And don’t forget the free health screenings starting Friday at the Salvation Army, Hanapepe Corps.
