Port Allen Sunset Grill and Bar has its fair share of delicious beverages that will quench your thirst and leave you refreshed.
Owner Peng Tai served two popular island favorites — the Mai Tai and the Lava Flo, each priced at $6.50.
The Mai Tai consists of white and dark rum and Port Allen Sunset Grill and Bar’s mai tai mix, a combination of fresh orange and pineapple juice with grenadine.
The Lava Flo is a mix of coconut rum, coconut syrup, fresh pineapple, pina colada and topped off with strawberry syrup.
These two tropical favorites are perfect for any occasion. They are especially good to have while viewing the sunset off of Port Allen Harbor.
Also worth sampling from the tropical drink menu is the Special Sunset Cocktail, which consists of Patron, Grand Marnier and Port Allen Sunset Grill and Bar’s mai tai mix; and the Sex on The Beach, a combination of vodka, peach schnapps, pineapple, orange juice and cranberry juice.
If you’re in the mood for martinis, the restaurant has a selection of six types of martinis at $7. Worth noting are the Kauai Rumtini, vodka and Govida chocolate liquour; and the Kauai Coffee Martini, coffee cream liqueur with vodka and Kauai Coffee.
Make sure to hit up happy hour, which runs daily from 3 to 6 p.m. During happy hour, domestic beers are $2, imports and drafts are $3 and wines and well-drinks are $4.
Domestic beers include Coors Light, Miller, Bud Light, Bud Light Platinum and Budweiser Black Crown.
