LIHUE — The Princeville Makai Golf Club will be hosting a free Father’s Day clinic Sunday from 4-5 p.m.
The clinic will offer free instruction from PGA Professional Tom Freestone and is open to people of all ages and skill levels.
“We want to encourage everyone, not just dads to come out but the whole family,” Freestone said. “(The event) will be tailored to the individuals that come out. It doesn’t matter if you are an experienced golfer or someone who has never played the game before, everyone can get something out of this.”
Freestone has been in Princeville for the past 10 years instructing and teaching and is a graduate of Golf Academy of America in San Diego.

The goal of the clinic is to continue to grow the game of golf and provide fathers and golfers a unique learning experience on Kauai, according to a release.

The Makai Golf Club will also be hosting its “EZee Golf Experience.”
This event will be a two hour experience hosted on June 24 from 3:30–5:30 p.m. and every Monday after, which will include 45 minutes of instruction and 15 minutes on the course with the club. Cost is $109 a person.
On June 28 from 4-7 p.m. Princeville Makai’s monthly “Sunset Golf & Wine Tasting Event” will be held. The full experience is one hole of golf with wine tasting and fresh cheeses to follow. Cost is $80 per person.
