Samuel L. Keala Jr.
Samuel L. Keala Jr., of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away at the Hi’olani Care Center-Kahala Nui, Oahu on June 28, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born on June 16, 1928 in Honolulu, Oahu. He was an Engineer for Lihue Plantation Company and Project Engineer for James Campbell Estate.
He is survived by former wife, Jalna; daughter, Kathryn (Ford) Keala; sons, Lynden (Lani) Keala, Graydon ‘Buddy’ (Kathleen) Keala, Kauai, Malcolm ‘Kaina’ (Junine) Keala, Perth, Australia; 7 granddaughters and one grandson; brother, Francis Keala.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Star of the Sea Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 am. Mass to follow. Casual attire. Sam will have a burial at a later date.

Edward K. Abreu Sr. of San Jose, CA peacefully passed away on October 15, 2012 at the age of 78 at Kaiser Permanente Hospital San Jose, CA. Born on January 11, 1934 in Makaweli, Kauai. He was retired from the San Jose Mercury News.
He is survived by his wife of Lucy Abreu, sons; Leroy (Diane) Pao, Haleiwa Oahu; Ed Jr. (Julie) Abreu, Tracy CA; daughters; Camille (Jim) Woida, Hollister CA; Ginger Abreu-Bell, Los Banos CA; Dorothy (Jay) Coito, San Jose CA; brothers Henry Abreu, Kalaheo; Nelson Abreu, Lawai; and 9 grandchildren.
A Celebration of life will be held at the Kauai Veteran’s Cemetery, Kauai, on July 27, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Celebration luncheon to immediately follow. Casual attire is requested.
