LIHUE — The Excel All-Stars are taking the floor at the Disneyland Hotel.
“This year, the Excel All-Stars will be traveling to Anaheim, Calif. to compete at the Showstoppers Competition, West Coast Finals at the Disneyland Hotel,” said Sherri Sanchez-Holcomb, owner and founder of Excel Dance Studio. “The five-day event will feature more than 1,600 teams from the United States competing in all types of dance.”
Sunday night, friends and family of the Excel Dance Studio were treated to a preview of the two dance squads’ routines, which will focus on hip-hop.
Excel All-Stars include 26 dancers who left Kauai Wednesday for the competition. The group will be competing in two teams in the hip-hop division. The competition lasts until Sunday.
“We would like to thank parents and the community for the ongoing support of the dancers,” Sanchez-Holcomb said. “We look forward to once again representing Kauai to the best of our abilities and perhaps, bringing home another trophy.”
