At the Kauai Coffee Company Visitor’s Center, anyone can enjoy cup after cup of onolicious coffee that’s grown on Kauai’s fertile soil.
Darla Domingo, retail operations manager at Kauai Coffee Company, made TG!FRIDAY two delicious cold coffee beverages that are sure to beat the summer heat.
“We use a cold brew method to make our coffee drinks,” Domingo said. “It’s coarse ground coffee that sits overnight (24 hours) and is drained off and used as a base for all our coffee drinks.”
Domingo said the cold brew process removes a lot of the acidity in the coffee.
Domingo made the Blended Mocha and the Iced Mocha. Two beverages that are delicious, refreshing and are made with love.
They are essentially the same drink, except ice is used in the Iced Mocha. Both refreshments sell for $4.50.
The drinks consist of your choice of milk — 2 percent, whole, skim or soy — coffee concentrate, ice, cream and chocolate.
Other cold coffee drinks available for purchase include iced coffee, iced latte and iced mocha. They range from $1.95 to $4.50.
If you’re looking for something hot, Kauai Coffee has 30 pots of coffee samples to choose from — seven decafs, two specialty peaberries, five flavored coffees and medium and dark coffees.
Domingo also spoke about the company’s premium bean: “Estate Reserve is our highest graded coffee that we have. You can only get it here at our Visitor’s Center or online at our website.”
Other menu items include the single espresso, double espresso, Americano, latte, mocha, cappuccino, cocoa and tea. Latte, mocha cappuccino and cocoa can be purchased as a 12-ounce or 16-ounce drink. The prices range from $1.25 to $4.75.
