Cecilio Delos Santos Esteban
Cecilio Delos Santos Esteban of Wailua Homesteads passed away on July 13, 2013, at the age of 74. He was born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on March 1, 1939 and retired from Kapaa Shores as a landscaper.
He is survived by his wife, Rosario Esteban; one daughter, Marianita “Mayette” (Nick) Loseto of Kapaa; seven sons, Jacinto (Merlita) Esteban of the Philippines, Edison (Bernadette) Esteban of Kapaa, Edwardson (Emalynn) Esteban of Honolulu, Rhandy (Sheila) Esteban of Hanamaulu, Stephen (Cheryl) Nicolas of the Philippines, Edwin (Nancy) Esteban of Kapaa, Rodrigo “Boy” (Mary Ann) Esteban of Oregon; 19 grandchildren, six sisters, Lucena Olaguera of the Philippines, Margarita (Alfonso) Suyat of Honolulu, Aida Pinera of the Philippines, Aurea (Tony) Somera of Honolulu, Arsenia (Marcelino) Lopez of Honolulu, Erlyntina (Willie) Agpaoa of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. at 6113 Kolopua St., Kapaa, HI. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Esteban family with arrangements.
Sylvia Marie Allianic
Sylvia Marie Allianic of Makaweli, Kauai passed away on July 6, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 61. She was born in The Big Island on July 14, 1951.
She was a registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Felix Mahi Jr.; daughter, Joweezet Mahi.
She is survived by husband, William Allianic Sr., Makaweli; sons, Arnold Abot, Hilo; Peter Mahi, Hilo; John (Genevieve “Chico”) Mahi, Lawai; daughter, Suzanna (Cyrus) Nagamine, Hilo; step daughter, Patricia (Stanley) Almeida, Koloa; William Allianic, Jr., Wailua Houselots; Wayne (Elizabeth”Liz”) Allianic, Lawai; Eric (Michelle) Allianic, Poipu; Gerald Allianic, Makaweli; numerous grandchildren; numerous Aunties and Uncles and nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
Private services were held.

Yoshie Uyesono
Yoshie Uyesono, 84, of Hanamaulu passed away at Garden Isle Rehab and LTC on June 18, 2013. He was born on June 10, 1929 in Puhi, Kauai, she was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Haruyuki Uyesono.
She is survived by her sons, Calvin (Jolynne) Uyesono of Puhi and Myles (Karen) Uyesono of Wailua; daughters, Lynn (Henry) Kusaka of Lihue and Sandy Magnussen of Wailua; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Private Service was held. Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Thomas Ching
Thomas “Tommy” Ching of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. Passed away on June 24, 2013 at the age of 65, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on June 11, 1948 in Lihue, Kauai. He was an avid fisherman.
He is preceded in death by: parents, Francis and Ruth Ching; brothers, Michael and William Ching.
He is survived by his wife, Tammie Miner, Kauai; daughters, Malia (Julian) Delos Reyes, Kapahi; Candice Miner-Ching, Kauai; son, Thomas John Miner-Ching, Kauai; brother, Francis Ching Las Vegas; sister, Rowena Lowe, Oahu; Sheilah Ching, Koloa; grandchildren, Kyla Dean Oclit, Kapaa, Rhaynedel Ululani Oclit, Oahu; numerous Aunties, Uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013, at St. Catherine Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Mass to follow. Aloha attire is requested.

Rosita “Rosing” Gamiao Ramones of Kilauea, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on July 7, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 75. She is born on December 28, 1937 in Lanao Bangui, Ilocos Norte Philippines. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Federico Ramones; father, Wenceslao Gamiao.
She is survived by daughters, Adela (Zaldy) Soriano, Philippines; Elizabeth Ramones, Philippines; Edna Ramones, Philippines; Aida (Dante) Padre, Kilauea; Rowelyn Ramones, Philippines; Elena (Jr.) Ramones, Philippines; sons, Federico Ramones Jr., Philippines; Roy (Aida) Ramones Jr., Philippines; Rodel (Auring) Ramones, Philippines; Sherwin Ramones, Philippines; 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Saint Sylvester’s Catholic Church, Kilauea. Visitation at 8:45 A.M. Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Burial to follow at Saint Catherine’s Cemetery, Kapaa. Casual attire is suggested.

Samuel L. Keala Jr., of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away at the Hi’olani Care Center-Kahala Nui, Oahu on June 28, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born on June 16, 1928 in Honolulu, Oahu. He was an Engineer for Lihue Plantation Company and Project Engineer for James Campbell Estate.
He is survived by former wife, Jalna; daughter, Kathryn (Ford) Keala; sons, Lynden (Lani) Keala, Graydon ‘Buddy’(Kathleen) Keala, Kauai, Malcolm ‘Kaina’ (Junine) Keala, Perth, Australia; 7 granddaughters and one grandson; brother, Francis Keala.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Star of the Sea Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 am. Mass to follow. Casual attire. Sam will have a burial at a later date.
