Chris Gampon (mahalo for the Ka Lei Mokihana O Leinaala photos from the Keiki Hula Competition) and his Outrigger Kiahuna Plantation crew were hard at work Wednesday, playing Traditional Hawaiian Games.
Freddy Constantino (normally he coaches basketball) was busy teaching guests how to do coconut frond weaving and throwing net. Kaikoa Racca was proud of the five fish he “netted” since he is 5 years old.
Kudos to Melissa McFerrin and her Koloa Plantation Days crew on a great job! We still have the parade and celebration Saturday and the Family Fun Run/Walk (Kaitlyn Santos’ dad said he’s doing the 10-mile) and Keiki Ukulele Contest, Sunday (FM97 summer crew David said someone signed him up).
And, if Koloa is not on the agenda, check out Sybil Nishioka and the Fun In Fellowship Dodgeball Tournament, which gets underway Friday afternoon and runs through Saturday at the All Saints Gym in Kapaa.
