Wednesday is the deadline for applications to participate in the first Boar Hunting Tournament hosted by PD Designs & Armory in Lihue.
Tag registration for the tournament is being accepted through Wednesday for the tournament that will be contested Aug. 23 to 25.
Check in for the tournament is no later than 9 p.m., Friday with weigh-in to take place Aug. 25, no later than 9 a.m.
The hunter with the biggest boar in the tournament earns a Colt AR-15. Second-place prize is a Marlin 30-30 and third place earns $250 cash.
During the tournament, which coincides with the grand opening of the armory at 4180 Rice Street, Suite 108, guests can enjoy food, drinks and fun while taking advantage of ammunition, firearms and apparel on sale.
The Lihue Pop Warner Association will also host its lucky drawing during the festivities at the site formerly occupied by Pyramid Insurance.
