Best wishes to Andrea Frainier who celebrated her last day with TGI Tuesday!
No soup for her anymore as Helen Lacono and Ada Koene put the soup book, “Kauai Farmers Market Soups,” on sale Wednesday during the Kauai Culinary Market at The Shops at Kukuiula.
Between signing books and serving up soup, it’s a good thing Gail Little (if you’re a pelican in Hawaii, you’re lost) was there to help ladle up soups based on the recipes in the book. Helen said copies of the book are also available with Ed and Cynthia Justus of Talk Story Bookstore in Hanapepe.
Camille Pak Chong was thrilled to see her picture on the back cover, and Helaine Perel had to get more than one copy.
Terry Gordines had avocado to go along with her tropical flowers (she said Johnny has been working every day at the fair), and the only person missing from the action was Melissa McFerrin, who was probably immersed in the Kauai County Farm Bureau Fair.
Soup’s on! See you at the fair!
