LIHUE — Wailani Kawahalau peeled off three touchdowns to lead the Hanapepe Colts Jr. Pee Wee to a 30-0 win over the Kapaa Eagles Saturday.
The win was the sole victory for the Hanapepe Pop Warner Association as the Kauai Pop Warner Football League hosted five games at Vidinha Stadium.
The Hanapepe Colts JPW scored three touchdowns in the first period as Kawahalau peeled off 57 yards for the first score at the 6:22 mark.
Nainoa Ragragola, finishing the day with three of four point-after boots, upped the margin, 8-0.
A little more than three minutes later, Hanapepe quarterback Degan Davis found Bryson Kapahu on a 24-yard touchdown pass, Ragragola doing the PAT kick for the 16-0 lead with 3:03 showing in the quarter.
With just 15 ticks left in the period, Kawahalau found open ground on a 60-yard touchdown run, Ragragola’s PAT boot giving the Colts a 24-0 lead.
With 8:58 showing in the half, Kawahalau struck again, this time plucking a Kapaa pass and running it back 54 yards for the touchdown. The score gave the JPW Colts a 30-0 lead and triggered the running clock.
Mitey Mites, 19,
Colts MM 8
Kaikea Tandal scored two touchdowns to lead the Kapaa Eagles Mitey Mites to its 19-8 win over the Hanapepe Colts MM.
Tyrus Alao opened the scorebooks for the Eagles with 5:09 remaining in the first quarter with a 14-yard touchdown, Connor Payomo running in the point-after for the 7-0 bulge.
With 5:53 showing in the half, Tandal found the end zone on an 11-yard run, the point-after failing for the 13-0 lead at the half.
Following a scoreless third quarter, Wesley Santiago prevented a shutout by finding the end zone following a 12-yard run with 6:08 remaining in the game.
Maka Shigematsu booted the point-after for the 13-8 reading.
Tandal iced the Eagles JPW win on a 51-yard breakout with 5:02 remaining in the contest for the 19-8 final.

Titans JPW 6
Wade Pimsaguan peeled off touchdowns of 18 and a yard to lead the Koloa Redskins to a 12-6 edge over the Kekaha Titans JPW in an exhibition match.
Chaisen Ragragola-Palacio put Kekaha on the boards first, peeling off a 15-yard score before Pimsaguan answered with two TDs.
Eagles 26, Colts JM 8
The Kapaa Eagles Junior Midgets came up with three touchdowns in the second half to break an 8-6 halftime deficit and take a 26-8 win over the Hanapepe Colts JM.
Kalena Harder bulled for three yards to put the Eagles JM on the board with 5:27 showing in the quarter.
The 6-0 lead stood until the final 3:33 of the first half when Kapono Constantino peeled off a 79-yard scoring run for Hanapepe, Noah Ruiz’s PAT boot giving the Colts JM an 8-6 halftime lead.
With 5:53 left in the third frame, Kaimi Malina found Harder on a 26-yard scoring pass for the 12-8 go-ahead.
Less than three minutes later, Jai Alapai picked his way through traffic for a 3-yard score, Ekolu Rivera doing the PAT boot for the 20-8 lead.
With 5:56 remaining in the contest, Harder found the end zone on a 3-yard touchdown for the 26-8 final.
Redskins MM 25, Titans MM 0
Earlier in the day, the Koloa Redskins MM scored three touchdowns in the first quarter en route to a 25-0 shutout over the Kekaha Titans MM.
Jamison Kaohi opened the scorebooks early, finding the end zone on a 46-yard run for the 6-0 lead with 7:34 remaining in the first quarter.
With 2:07 showing in the opening frame, Nakoa Andrade peeled off the second score on a 32-yard run for the 12-0 margin.
Nathan Rego, with less than a minute left in the opening period, recovered a fumble and ran the ball back 26 yards, Nalu Aguano running in the PAT for the 19-0 lead.
Bronze DeCosta capped the Koloa victory with 6:30 showing in the fourth period by finding the end zone on a 3-yard charge for the 25-0 final.
