Some tips for a successful job search at the Job Fair:
COME PREPARED FOR JOB INTERVIEWS
Potential Job Seekers should be ready with their resume’ in hand and be prepared for a job interview. Employer representatives will be providing information on a variety of jobs available on the island! Businesses will be recruiting for potential employees who are proactive, thoughtful and are good listeners. Promote yourself and stand out by asking the right questions!
DRESS FOR SUCCESS
Know the dress code of the company you would like to work for and dress like you are interviewing for a position! Some businesses have a casual dress code while others require more professional attire. Come prepared for an interview for the occupation you are applying for. Sell yourself! Be sure to check yourself in the mirror in order to make a good and first impression. Eye contact and a pleasant smile go a long way!
Employment specialists and Kauai Community College business students will also be available to help with informational workshops on how to write an effective resume and how to prepare for a job interview. The team is there to assist you in this process.
