Happy birthday, Mike Lake!
Mike, who moved here from Seattle eight years ago, was celebrating his birthday greeting guests at the Kauai Business Chamber of Commerce business before-hours at the Regency at Puakea where he lives.
Anna Peters, the Regency business manager, said Mike’s favorite spot is on the bench right outside the main entrance, where enjoys the Kauai air.
Congratulations to Randal Francisco, Caroline Manera Texeira, Chantal Zarbaugh, Jonathan Chun and all of the people involved in the Rice Festival, where more than $600 and six cases of Spam was shared between Michelle Panoke of the Hawaii Foodbank, Kauai, and Frank Ranger of the Kauai Independent Food Bank.
Kudos to Regency Chef Ryan Theis, who took the seemingly unending line of omelet afficionadoes in stride. Ron Wood was great on the microphone (no wonder he’s the official Bingo caller) and Sharon Lasker was a gracious hostess at the model apartment (Barbara Gusman didn’t even know about the pool).
