It’s back! Brandi Baligad (her brother is Bryson from the Kapaa HS Swim Team and SKA) and Keegan Kessler, a former winner at the Ukes in Paradise contest, were selling Kauaiopoly2 as a fundraiser for the Kapaa Middle School Stream Team at the craft fair hosted by the Kauai Filipino Humanitarian Society.
Headed by Nathan Aiwohi, the Stream Team (Kuumomi Thompson, Maceo Cantu, Haley Gokan, Ian Kimura and Sophia Rodriguez) also has frozen chili and turkey legs (Ron Wiley calls them some brontosaurus thing). School is out, so you’ll have to check after Jan. 6.
Queenie Pezario (mahalo for the Mama Lucy lunch!) of the KFHS said the humanitarian group is there to help and how could they not help the Kapaa Middle School students.
And on the subject of the Philippines, Nora Villanueva (her granddaughter is a New Year’s Baby) said the Jose Rizal service is Saturday starting at 4 p.m.
