LIHUE — A few tickets are still available for the University of Hawaii, Chaminade University basketball game scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday, said Lenny Rapozo, director of the county’s Department of Parks and Recreation.
“We originally got 500 tickets for this basketball game,” Rapozo said. “They were all sold, quickly. We just got an additional 200 tickets which will be available through Dino Pabre, the Kauai High School athletic director, or myself at the Parks and Recreation office.”
The University of Hawaii men’s basketball team and Chaminade will tip off at the Kauai High School gym.
Leading up to the game, the public is invited to view the teams practice, Rapozo said.
They’ll practice following the high school games that evening.
“Hawaii coach Arnold Gib was scheduled to practice at the Kapaa gym, but now wants to practice at Kauai High School’s gym,” Rapozo said.
“We have a … girls basketball game Friday at Kauai High School, so Coach Gib said the team will practice following the girls’ game.”
