Elvrine Chow of Heavenly Haku hosted Hank Zeevat with his kadomatsu for the new year, and Sandi Kato-Klutke was trying to see if she could fulfill Garry Sagawa’s request for kazani mochi.
New Year items dotted the Kauai Community Market Saturday at Kauai Community College.
“This is the first time we’re out,” said Ueli Muller of the Hoouluwehi sustainability program at Kauai CC. “Later this month, we’re scheduled to do tours of the aquaponics farm, too.”
The Kauai County Farm Bureau also coordinates the Wednesday Kauai Culinary Market at The Shops at Kukuiula from 4 to 6 p.m. with a chef’s demonstration starting at 5 p.m.
The Kauai Community Market is each Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at KCC.
