Amby Cruz
Amby Cruz of Omao, Kauai. Passed away on January 1, 2014 at his home at the age of 88. Born on December 7, 1925 in San Ildefonso, Iloco Sur, Philippines. He was a retired Mechanic with Lihue Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife Consuelo “Connie” (Bali) Cruz and his parents, Pedro and Emiliana (Remular) Dela Cruz; Gregorio and Juliana (Agmata) Bali, Buddy Bali, David Bali, Virginia “Virgie” Bali and Joe Hernando, Martha Raguindin, Juaning Raguindin.
He is survived by his four children, Amby Gregory Cruz; Anthony (Edelwisa) Cruz; Adela (Alex) Padasdao, Arnold (Genevieve) Cruz. Seven grandchildren, Tiffany Bernades, Bryson Bernades, Annie Padasdao, Austin Cruz, Alisa Padasdao, Andrew Cruz, A.J. Padasdao and two great-grandchildren, Kairus Pedro and Nathan Bennor, also survived by in-laws, Rosita “Rose” (Jaime) Baloran, Peggy Bali, Natividad “Natty” Bali, numerous uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday January 18, 2014 at St. Raphael’s Church in Koloa from 8:00 am to 9:45 am. Where mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.

Micah Wong
Micah Lonokoualii GhaHing Wong of Kapaa, Kauai, passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 9, 2014 at the age of 20. Born on October 7, 1993 in Lihue, Kauai, he was a College student.
He is survived by his parents, Levon Wong, and Ernanie (Preston) Lotz; brothers, Dexter (Hazel) Juvan of Kauai, and Dennis (Josie Igaya) Juvan of Alaska; sister, Nadia (Jose Corporan) Juvan of Alaska; paternal grandmother, Salome Wong; maternal grandmother, Alejandria Mabini; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 17, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel in Lawai; service will begin at 4:00 pm. Casual attire and flowers are welcome.

Masao Ono
Masao Ono of Lawai, Kauai, passed away on December 12, 2013 at the age of 94. Born on May 16, 1919 in Koloa, Kauai, he was an Agronomist with McBryde Sugar Co.
He is survived by his wife, Kiyoko Ono; sons, Wayne (Valerie) Ono of Aiea, Oahu, and Randal Ono of Lawai; sister, Toshiko Hirai of Manoa, Oahu; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Private Services were held.

Stacy Nishina
Stacy Kam Inn Nishina of Honolulu, formerly of Koloa, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2014, at Queen’s Hospital. Born on September 10, 1966, she was the Deputy Executive Director at Hawaii State Teachers Association.
She is survived by her husband Les Murashige; father, Lt. Col. Vincent Nishina; mother Carleen Nishina; brothers, Kevin (Stacey) and Sheldon (Amber); numerous nieces, nephews and her three dogs.
A celebration of life will be held at the Kalihi Union Church in Honolulu on Sunday, January 26, 2014. Visitation from 2:30 p.m. and service at 4:00 p.m.

Roger William Costa
Roger William Costa of Kalaheo passed away on January 2, 2014 at the age of 47. He was born on February 24, 1966 in Lihue, Kauai.
Preceded in death by his father, Antone Costa.
He is survived by his sons, Lokelo William Lokomaikai Peleras-Costa, Derrin Kala’iakea Peleras-Costa, and Evan La’akeaimaikalani Peleras-Costa, all of Eleele; mother, Geraldine Costa of Kalaheo; brother, Richard Costa of Kalaheo; sisters, Ramona (Angel) Costa of Omao, and Melanie (Mark) Alesna of Oregon; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Holy Cross Church from 9:00 to 10:30 am; Mass to follow. Casual attire and flowers are welcome.

Martin Quigley, Jr.
Martin John Quigley, Jr. of Lawai, Kauai, passed away at home on January 12, 2014 at the age of 75. Born in Washington DC, he was a retired realtor and security guard.
He is survived by his daughters, Ellen (Roger) Q.S. Walraven of Lawai, HI and Suzanne (Michael) Wheeler of Atlanta, GA; five grandchildren, Laura Walraven of Wailua, HI, Max (Karen) Walraven of Richmond, VA, Elektra Walraven of Mandeville, LA, and Bryce & Ryan Wheeler of Atlanta, GA; and five great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Dela Cruz of Wailua, HI, Sydney & Lola Walraven of Richmond, VA, and Blaise & India Gremillion of Mandeville, LA.
A Celebration of life will be held at a future date. His family wishes to thank Kauai Hospice and any donation should be sent to Kauai Hospice.
