LIHUE — Two individuals allegedly burglarizing a Kapaa business Thursday night were caught red-handed by police.
According to a county news release, Kauai police officers responded to a tip about a possible burglary in progress, where they encountered Randy Sparks, 42, and Holly Humble, 38, around 8:30 p.m. inside April’z Heavenly Hairstyles on Kukui Street.
Sparks was arrested without incident for second-degree burglary and is being held at KPD cellblock on $1,000 bail. Police recovered items that he was allegedly attempting to steal at the time of his arrest.
Humble was arrested for trespassing and was released pending a court appearance.
The couple has no known address, but is believed to live in the Kapaa area.
