Ronald Iida
Ronald Benedict Iida of Lihue passed away at home on February 5, 2014, at the age of 77. He was born in Lihue, Kauai on February 2, 1937. A State Farm Insurance Agent for 38 years, he was also active in the community with the Kauai Jaycees, County Board of Water Supply and as Alii Aimoku of The Royal Order of Kamehameha, Kaumualii Chapter III.
Preceded in death by his parent’s Ben and Alice Iida, grandson, Scott Iida and son-in-law, Marc Beal.
Survived by his wife, Jean Higashi Iida; daughter’s Darrellyn (Bill) Lemke, Rona Beal, Ardna (Scott) Seiffert and son, Jeffrey (Ruthie) Iida; grandchildren, Kristina (Mike Cardenas) Iida, Kaulana Lemke, Andrew Sugita, Amanda Sugita, Kainoa Lemke, Melissa Iida, McKayla Alvarnaz, Makana Lemke, Sean Taylor Alvarnaz and Logan Seiffert; great grandson’s Makoa Lemke-Hayashi and Dana Cardenas; brother, Sherwood (Sylvia) Iida and sister, Jocelyn Iida-Yamamoto; numerous nephews and nieces.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow at Prince Kuhio Park in Poipu from 12:30. Family suggests casual attire and graciously declines flowers.

Henrietta Boynton
Henrietta Lopez Boynton age 74, passed away on February 5, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 21, 1939. She was a certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide for the State of Massachusetts.
Preceded in death by her father, Marcelino Lopez Jr., mother, Mary Pavao Medina; step-father John Medina Sr.; brothers, Ernest Silva Sr., Patrick Lopez Sr., Vincent Lopez Sr., and Phillip Lopez and sister, Helen Perreira.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Boynton of Quincy, Massachusetts; brother Alfred Lopez Sr., and sister Liz (Wayne Sr.) Allianic; sister-in-laws, Mildred (Ernest) Silva, Sweetie (Patrick) Lopez, numerous nieces, nephews and family.
A memorial will be held on March 1, 2014 at 5868 Hauaala Rd., Keapana Valley Kapaa. Visitation from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Service to follow. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Anacleta Medrano
Anacleta Alimboyoguen Medrano of Hanamaulu passed away at home on February 16, 2014, at the age of 82. She was born in Lihue, Kauai on April 26, 1931, and was a Wal-Mart Greeter.
Preceded in death by her husband, Fredrico Medrano.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Mancia of Hanamaulu, Lynnette Medrano-Stine of Hanamaulu; 4 grandchildren, Shannon (Mayan) Mancia of Omao, Sean (Tessie) Mancia of Kalaheo, Travis Stine of Oregon, LyAna Stine of Hanamaulu; siblings, Harold (Dolly) Alimboyoguen, Juanita (Albert) Caspillo, Ronald Alimboyoguen all of California; 6 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church with visitation from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Dorothy Cobb
Dorothy Cobb of Waimea passed away at Kauai Care Center on January 24, 2014, at the age of 71. She was born in Illinois on March 3, 1942, and was an artist.
Preceded in death by her parents, Hellene and Floyd Kohls; and brother James Kohls.
She is survived by her sister Mary Boudart; brother, Larry Kohls and three nephews, Michael, Robert and Timothy Boudart.

Romina Kaion of Koloa, Kauai passed away on February 13, 2014 at Queens Hospital at the age of 38. Born on September 29, 1976 in Marshall Islands, she was a housewife.
Preceded in death by her father, Hemu Joseph.
She is survived by her husband, Kimeo Kaion of Koloa; daughter, Kiomina Meio Kaion of Koloa; mother, Neji Joseph of Koloa; brothers, Haine Joseph of Honolulu, and Mylon (Maiset) Joseph of Kilauea; and sisters, Mency Clement of Lihue, Julie (Jun) Pedrus of North Carolina, Reiko (Aini Henry) Joseph of Majuro, Marshall Islands, Flomina (Carlson) Jacklick of Marshall Islands, Fonda (Richard Cortez) Cortez of Wailua, Elizabeth Joseph of Marshall Islands, and Diana Joseph of Marshall Islands.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 9:00 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Kalaheo Ward. Services at 11:00am, followed by burial at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Dayne E. Obatake of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on January 24, 2014, at the age of 61. He was born in Lihue on May 28, 1952, and was a carpenter and avid fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Gwen Saiki; parents, Samuel “Sam” and Elsie Takata; hanai daughter, Witney Toyoda; loyal friend, Lulu; brothers, Jimmy (Cheryl Lovell) Obatake, Randy (Apryle) Obatake, Alden (Anki) Takata; sister, Marlene (Earl) Morton; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, aunties, uncles and cousins.
