Henrietta Boynton
Henrietta Lopez Boynton age 74, passed away on February 5, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 21, 1939. She was a certified Homemaker-Home Health Aide for the State of Massachusetts.
Preceded in death by her father, Marcelino Lopez Jr., mother, Mary Pavao Medina; step-father John Medina Sr.; brothers, Ernest Silva Sr., Patrick Lopez Sr., Vincent Lopez Sr., and Phillip Lopez and sister, Helen Perreira.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Boynton of Quincy, Massachusetts; brother Alfred Lopez Sr., and sister Liz (Wayne Sr.) Allianic; sister-in-laws, Mildred (Ernest) Silva, Sweetie (Patrick) Lopez, numerous nieces, nephews and family.
A memorial will be held on March 1, 2014 at 5868 Hauaala Rd., Keapana Valley Kapaa. Visitation from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Service to follow. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary, Koloa.
Naomi Sokei
Naomi M. Sokei of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on February 23, 2014, at the age of 67. She was born in Lihue on January 1, 1947, and was a dedicated homemaker and child care provider.
She is survived by her husband, Garrett Sokei of Kapaa; son, Shane (Veronica) Sokei of Kapaa; daughter, Justine (Ronald) Hoffmann of North Carolina; sister, Gail (Clifton) Kodama; brothers, Hiroo (Kristen) Masuda, David (Myrna) Masuda; 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at All Saints Episcopal Church in Kapaa with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and services beginning at 10:00 a.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Sokei family with arrangements.
Wilhelmina Kanae
Wilhelmina Sophia Kanae of Waimanalo, Hawaii. Passed away on January 23, 2014 at the age of 80. She was a retired Entertainer.
She is survived by her Daughters: Wilhelmina M. Kanae & Frances Becker; Sons: Ernest and Steven Kanae; 10 Grandchildren and 19 Grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday February 28, 2014 at Borthwick Mortuary, Vineyard/Maunakea Chapel – Honolulu. Visitation 5:30pm, service 6:00pm. Aloha attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
