Barbara Oki (her pancakes are at the Bamboo Grill in the Anchor Cove) said the kulolo mix she developed over the past couple of weeks is a hit for people in Afghanistan who want a taste of Hawaii. She came out from making her Lilikoi Mousse to talk about the new flavors including the kulolo, haupia and coconut tapioca.
Yvette Sahut said there are still a few more tickets for Saturday’s Hoedown for Hope at Kilohana at 5 p.m. featuring Duane Shimogawa doing the emcee duties and Dr. Robert Weiner getting the Hope award.
The next morning, check out Chef Martina Hilldorfer and all of the Kauai Community College culinary arts students and American Culinary Federation chefs at the big breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m.
