Alternate Energy Inc. has $1,000 Hawaiian student scholarship applications available for all Hawaiian students attending an accredited university for the fall 2014 semester. Hawaiian residents studying in the state of Hawaii and within the continental U.S. are eligible.
Submission deadline is July 27. The winning student will be notified on or before Aug. 11.

Music scholarship
The Larry L. McIntosh Music Scholarship Association is seeking applicants for its music scholarship.
Residents who are graduating seniors or students 19 years old or younger receiving a G.E.D. this calendar year are eligible to apply. Applicants are required to prepare an instrumental audition piece.
Applications will be available through music teachers at all high schools or the forms can be downloaded at www.mcintoshmusicfund.org/apply/
The deadline to apply is April 14.
