LIHUE — It’s been years since Kauai had a chapter of the Kauai Young Democrats to represent the island’s youth at the local and state level. At a recent Democratic convention, a historically large group of young adults gathered to do just that.
“The Young Democrats are looking forward to incorporating Kauai’s youth in addressing issues important to the future prosperity of Kauai,” said chair Dylan Hooser, in a press release.
Hooser, who is also running for state Representative of District 15, was elected as Chair of the Young Democrats of Kauai during the recent Democratic County Convention. Also elected were Makoto Lane, vice chair; Aria Juliet Castillo, communications director; Aaron Rosenstiel, treasurer; and Leeona Thompson, secretary.
