Nelson Batalion hadn’t come down from the Saturday Spring Festival (he said it was part of three events). Brian Yamamoto said he was at the Garden Fair, too, and on Monday, had eight or nine of his Botany students planting native Hawaiian plants at the Hawaiian studies garden.
Kudos to the organizers of the Earth Day program, including Tommy Noyes, who put together the Lydgate Park cleanup Saturday.
Jonathan Paleka said he couldn’t play golf Friday because of volleyball, but played Saturday after the cleanup. Kilikai Ahuna was in the same boat, but never appeared on Saturday.
Raenette Lopez of the Kauai Coffee Visitor Center (they have Kauai Coffee caps in the colors of the Denver Broncos, Richard Stein!) said Shiloh Begley can probably meet up with Kyle Flemming when he gets to West Point.
