Pua Ariola had time for breakfast Sunday before heading off to work at Times Supermarket.
She was one of nearly 1,900 ticket holders enjoying the Kiwanis French Toast Breakfast at the Wilcox Elementary School cafeteria where Kalani Murakami (Helena Cooney said he had a strong performance during the Mokihana Club’s Performing Arts Scholarship presentation) and Reggie Mones were doing the entertaining. Kalani said Kapaa tennis is hosting Island School at the Makai courts Saturday.
Scott Sato said the breakfast is a major producer of Kiwanis scholarships which will be presented in May at the Hookipa Cafe (Puakea chips are da’ bomb!).
And you know it’s a Kiwanis event because Eric Yama was there along with Arryl Kaneshiro (he even got to serve French toast for a short time), Scott Nonaka, Florence Teshima, and all the other Kiwanis. They even had Sen. David Ige dropping in for a quick bite.
