Maximiniano Eala
Maximiniano Esperanza Eala of Hanamaulu passed away in Pali Momi Hospital on April 10, 2014, at the age of 76. He was born in Apatot, San Esteban, Ilocos Sur, Philippines on August 15, 1937, and retired as a Groundkeeper with Westin Kauai and Kiahuna Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife, Pacita and grandson, Ronnel Espejo.
He is survived by four daughters, Connie (Alejandrino) Vidal of Hanamaulu, Natividad (Nestor) Espejo of Maui, Josephine (Chris) Segismundo of California, Gemma (Bill) Copperfield of Maui; one son, Jonald (Rose) Eala of Kapolei; 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Rojelio (Juanita) Eala of California, Epifanio (Elvira) Eala of California, Lucrecio (Emerita) of Philippines; numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake service will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at Kauai Veterans Center in Lihue with visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Lolita Cabuco
Lolita Cabuco of Hanamaulu, Kauai, Hawaii passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on April 2, 2014 at the age of 83. She was born on February 18, 1931 in Penarrubia, Abra, Philippines.
She was preceded in death by her parents: J. Balladeng and Zamora Hilario; Brothers, Vicente and Justo Malangen; Sister Juanita Silayen; Husband, Domingo Cabuco.
She is survived by her only daughter, Eldie (Dickson) Ferrandiz; 5 grandchildren, Cherry Ann Agbilay, Samson (Erah) Agbilay Jr., Cherry Lyn Agbilay (Jeff) Sante, Mark Anthony Ferrandiz and Charissa Mae Atienza; 9 great grandchildren: Brandon Torres, Kayla Torres, Kylie Torres, Sarah Mae Agbilay, Shaylee Agbilay, Myles Mason Agbilay, Cliff Bryan Villanueva, Chris Jhian Sante and Eldonito Markell Ferrandiz; Grand-Niece: Maria “Sol” Dacuyan; Nieces: Conchita (Puleriano)Parinas, Amelia (Johnny) Duarosan and Dominga Dacuyan; Nephews: Renato Malangen, Efren Dumaguing, Ruperto Malangen.
A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday May 10, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00am and Mass celebrated at 10:00am. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Anita Huff
Anita Huff, of Lihue, Kauai, age 70, passed away on March 30, 2014 in Lakewood Colorado.
Anita was born June 25, 1943 in Kingston, New York. Anita was previously the Branch Manager of Meadow Gold Diaries, Kauai, then becoming the Distribution Manage for Gerry Baby Products, worldwide.
She is survived by her sister, Janet Hagan (Amiel); brother, Albert Dusey Jr. (Judy); sons, Kevin Huff (Patti), Keith Huff (Shauna); daughter, Pamela Santistevan (Laurence); Grandchildren, Ronni Victorino (Weston), Lorenzo Santistevan, Cameron Santistevan, Oriana Huff, Ashley Huff, Kayla Huff, Manu and Caleb Pacanas, and Melissa Gladman, Great Grandchildren, Weston and Bronson Victorino, Talia Greenleaf, Eli Santistevan and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and her cats, Turbo and Sally.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Raphael Church in Koloa on May 3, 2014. Visitation 10am – 10:45am, service to follow. A reception will follow the service at the church hall.
Richard Victorino
Richard “Ricky” Victorino of Wailua Homesteads passed away at the Kauai Care Center on April 22, 2014, at the age of 68. He was born in Lihue, Kauai on June 28, 1945. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a lineman for the former GTE Hawaiian Tel. In his free time Richard enjoyed fixing cars and re-building classic cars.
Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Hilda Victorino of Kapaa.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Victorino of Wailua Homesteads, sisters, Donna Medina of Wailua Homesteads; Charlotte (Russell Maeda), Wailua Houselots; Barbara (Richard Ebinger) ,Wailua Homesteads; Brenda (Eddy Barriga) ,Las Vegas, Nevada; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and grand nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Richards Life will be held on Wednesday, May 7th 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation with family and friends will be from 8:00 to 9:45 am. Mass celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Norma Castillo
Norma Vega Castillo, 86 of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. Passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Hilo, Hawaii at the Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born on September 22, 1927 in Lucena, The Province of Quezon, Philippines. She was a homemaker.
Preceded in Death by her husband Wallace Castillo.
She is survived by her: Seven Daughters; Zenaida (Richard) Sawyer of Hilo, Stephanie J. Castillo of Kapaa, Teresita Castillo of New York City, Deedee (Ivan) Ward of Vacaville, CA, Leslie (Garrett) Scales of Lawai, Patricia (Clifford) Furtado of Wailua, and Joanne (Peter) Brun of Koloa, Sharol Castillo (niece and hanai daughter) of Sacramento, California; Ami (Jan) Vergara (nephew and hanai son) of Largo, Florida; sister, Cely Vega of the Philippines; Sisters-in-law, Anita Castillo of Sacramento and Fely Vega of the Philippines; 17 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews

Kay Yoshimatsu
Kay Yoshimatsu of Kapaa passed away on April 4, 2014 at home at the age of 94. She was born on December 4, 1919 in Kapaa, Kauai.
Preceded in death by her husband George Yoshimatsu and daughter Linda Sogawa.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Bill) Davies of Placerville, CA and Jill Yoshimatsu of Kapaa, Kauai; one grandchild; sisters, Elnora Wakatake of Honolulu, Takeko Yamane of Kapaa, Ellen Goto of Kaneohe, and Jean Morioka of San Diego; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Memorial Services will be held on May 7, 2014 at 3:00 pm at the Kapaa Hongwanji Mission.

Rebecca “Becky” Williams of Anahola, Kauai, Hawaii, Passed away on April 23, 2014 at Hale Kupuna Heritage Home at the age of 88. Born on March 14, 1926 in Kealia, Kauai. She was a tour guide for Gray Line.
Preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Williams, Sr.
She is survived by: daughters, Essie (Frank) Medeiros, Anahola; Debby (Leonard) Asano, Koloa; son, Teddy (Patricia) Williams, Anahola; 10 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, numerous nieces & nephews.
