Pedro Polintang
Pedro Maneja Polintang of Hanamaulu passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on March 26, 2014, at the age of 89. He was born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on August 15, 1924, and retired as a Laboratory Technician with Lihue Sugar Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife, Emerenciana; sons, Emmanuel, Valentino and Victor; parents, Vicente and Celedonia; brothers, Venancio, Tito, Andres, Oligario, Onorio, Bonifacio, Timoteo, Anastacio; sisters, Modesta, Narcisa, Mercedes and Carolina.
He is survived by one grandson, Sheldon Polintang; daughter-in-law, Faye Badua Granciosa; sister-in-law, Magdalena S. Polintang; nieces and nephews, Ludy Tumpap, Victoria (Manolo) Herrera, Rose (Bernie) Semana, Glory (Efren) Taylan, Betty Polintang, Dana (Danial) Garven, Lourdes, Antonio, Travis, Kira, Keanu, Jen, Brittney, Bryson, Brennan, Bradley, Bridget, Marvin, Jun, Jean, Mercythes, Melissa; numerous family members abroad.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Lihue Cemetery.

Janet Dietz
Janet Elisa Dietz of Hanalei passed away at home on March 26, 2014, at the age of 75. She was born in Curacaos, Venezuela on July 11, 1938, and retired as a Hostess with Coco Palms Hotel and Charos.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Leoneene Hendricksen and grandson, Leif Hendricksen.
She is survived by her son, Mario (Dawn) Hendricksen of Kapaa, daughter, Kaiulani (Jesse) Palumbo of Kilauea; seven grandchildren, Kahikapu Hendricksen, Jeanette Hendricksen, Kyle Hepburn, Jesseka Palumbo, Koapaka Palumbo, Stacey Sher Crandall, and Lois Hollum; 9 great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Hanalei Black Pot from 12:00 noon till pau.

Wolfgang Plamp
Wolfgang Plamp of Kapaa passed away at home on April 19, 2014, at the age of 79. He was born in East Germany on October 26, 1934, and retired as a Machine Mechanic.
He is survived by his wife Christine Plamp of Kapaa; brother-in-law, Rudolph Sacher of Germany; sisters-in-law, Maria Wolfe of California and Margaret Alscher of Germany, and his many dear friends of St. Catherine Church.
A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at St. Catherine Church with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m.

Frederico Lopez
Frederico Lopez of Lihue passed away at home on April 19, 2014, at the age of 84. He was born in Kapaa, Kauai on July 2, 1929, and retired as a stacker with Lihue Sugar Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife, Crescencia Lopez; daughters, Hazel Rellin, April Rellin; son, Allan Lopez; brothers, Frank, Vince, Larry; sisters, Diana, Andrea, Irene, Dolores and Rita.
He is survived by seven daughters, Martha (Dennis) Kaminski of Illinois, Dolores Barry of Oklahoma, Annie Rellin of Puhi, Sheila (Ralph) Schmarje of Arizona, Kathleen Christian of California, Carmela Cabacungan of Lihue, Novella (Lawrence) Laranio of Waimea; six sons, Ali Birtadaso of Waimea, Garrick Lopez of Kapaa, Timothy Laranio of Anahola, Ronald (Jeanette) Lopez of Kapaa, Wayne (Leilani) Laranio of Kapaa, Joe (Lihue) Lopez of Kapaa; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Elino and Richard “Tojo;” numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Clyde Cox
Clyde Arnold Cox of Hanapepe died peacefully at home on April 10th 2014 at the age of 73. Born on June 4, 1940, in Bremerton, WA, he was an Electronic Engineer with Honeywell, NASA.
He is preceded in death by his wife Janet Cox.
He is survived by his son Clyde Cox Jr. of Olathe, KS, daughter Susan M. Cox (Kylan dela Cruz) of Hanapepe, HI, brother Darrell (Loretta) Cox of Aiea, HI, grandchildren, Brandee of Hanapepe, BreeAnn of Las Vegas, Blakelee of Hanapepe, Brittany of Waianae and Matthew Cox of Waianae, great-granddaughter ChaiLee Jeighne of Hanapepe, and niece Jainnie (Craig) Jenkins of Colorado. Also surviving are numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and his pets, Bambee, Soft Kittee, and Pants.
Services for Clyde will be June 4, 2014, 10:30 a.m. at the Kauai Veterans’ Cemetery, Hanapepe.

Anita Huff
Anita Huff, of Lihue, Kauai, age 70, passed away on March 30, 2014 in Lakewood Colorado.
Anita was born June 25, 1943 in Kingston, New York.
Anita was previously the Branch Manager of Meadow Gold Diaries, Kauai, then becoming the Distribution Manage for Gerry Baby Products, worldwide.
She is survived by her sister, Janet Hagan (Amiel); brother, Albert Dusey Jr. (Judy); sons, Kevin Huff (Patti), Keith Huff (Shauna); daughter, Pamela Santistevan (Laurence); Grandchildren, Ronni Victorino (Weston), Lorenzo Santistevan, Cameron Santistevan, Oriana Huff, Ashley Huff, Kayla Huff, Manu and Caleb Pacanas, and Melissa Gladman, Great Grandchildren, Weston and Bronson Victorino, Talia Greenleaf, Eli Santistevan and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and her cats, Turbo and Sally.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Raphael Church in Koloa on May 3, 2014.
Visitation 10am – 10:45am, service to follow. A reception will follow the service at the church Hall
Agrifina Segismundo
Agrifina Casasola Segismundo of Puhi, Kauai passed away on April 13, 2014 at Straub Clinic & Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii. She was born on June 23, 1938 at Maragondon, Cavite, Philippines. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Her legacy lives on in the Segismundo and Casasola family for her unconditional love and sacrifice. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
She is survived by her husband Ernest E. Segismundo Sr. and children Penchie Cabasag (Arturo), Jannette Segismundo (Tony Rivera) , Relly Segismundo (Bhot Geronilla) of the Philippines, Ernesto C. Segismundo Jr. (M.S, LMFT) of California, and Joann S. Sales (Clarence). Her grandchildren Valerie Aficial (Darrell Yoza), Nikko Rey Tacsiat, Ginno Jay Tacsiat, Ralph Segismundo, Mikhaela Segismundo, Amalya J. Sales, and Isaiah W. Sales.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 8-11:00 am at The Immaculate Conception Church, then following the service at the Segismundo Residence.

Tina Marie Oyler of Princeville passed in her sleep on April 22, 2014, at the age of 40. She was born in California on August 10, 1973, and was a massage therapist.
She is survived by her husband, Jason Oyler; four children, Kaimana, Kadin, Mikayla and Sofia; parents, James and Ruth Parker; sisters, Kerri, Jaime and Tammy; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Grandpa’s beach in Hanalei.

Richard Victorino
Richard “Ricky” Victorino of Wailua Homesteads passed away at the Kauai Care Center on April 22, 2014, at the age of 68. He was born in Lihue, Kauai on June 28, 1945. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a lineman for the former GTE Hawaiian Tel. In his free time Richard enjoyed fixing cars and re-building classic cars.
Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Hilda Victorino of Kapaa.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Victorino of Wailua Homesteads, sisters, Donna Medina of Wailua Homesteads; Charlotte (Russell Maeda), Wailua Houselots; Barbara (Richard Ebinger), Wailua Homesteads; Brenda (Eddy Barriga), Las Vegas, Nevada; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and grand nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Richards Life will be held on May 7th 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Church. Visitation with family and friends will be from 8:00 to 9:45 pm. Services begin at 10:00am. The Family suggests casual attire.

Geraldine Baptiste Medeiros of Lihue passed away at home on April 22, 2014, at the age of 86. She was born in Hilo, Hawaii on January 24, 1927, and retired as Manager of Greeters of Hawaii gift shop at Lihue airport.
Preceded in death by her husband, Antone Medeiros.
She is survived by three sons, Timothy (Dianna) Medeiros, Claude (Lucinda) Medeiros, Kurt (Tamra) Medeiros; one daughter, Lorna Okamoto; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, numerous siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, May 19, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Church with visitation from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m.
