LIHUE — The Kauai Philippine Cultural Center will hold its third fundraiser gala at Kauai Marriott Resort May 3.
There will be dinner and entertainment. Tickets are $75.
The annual fundraiser will help with construction costs for the estimated $7 million cultural center, which will be a place to preserve and exhibit the stories of Kauai’s roots.
“Not only will we share the history of Filipino pioneers to Hawaii and their cultural impacts, but also our center will be a place where families can foster family values. KPCC will invite all other ethnic groups to use this facility to do the same,” said KPCC Corporate President Lesther Calipjo.
Groundbreaking for the center is expected to be in the fall.
