Coaches Bobby Rapozo and Kevin Gusman wrapped up the Kauai Soccer Association spring season with Blue Thunder’s 1-0 win over Team Onipaa in the Boys Under 8 division to open up the North Vidinha fields for Saturday’s Colors for Cancer II fun run/walk.
Heidi Herr (she’s still here after graduating last week) will be doing the multi-hued fun event Saturday with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. and the run going off at 9 a.m.
Of course, Kauai Police Activities League’s Mark Ozaki said K-PAL flag football starts Saturday at the North Vidinha too — this should be real interesting.
Which event is Tommy Rita going to be at tonight? We have Chef Mark Oyama and Na Koa hosting UH football coach Norm Chow (anyone know if Sean Shigematsu is coming?) at Kauai Community College, and over at Hanapepe Stadium, Waimea coach Jason Caldeira is hosting its Blue-and-White game (coach Bunga Fuertes smoked meat on tap) at 7 p.m.
Brad Hiranaka wraps up the KYF spring season at 7 p.m. Saturday when the Kauai Bulldogs take on the Kapaa Warriors at Vidinha Stadium.
