LIHUE — Department of Water officials say crews are currently working to fix a water main break that affected portions of Wailua earlier this morning and has caused a water outage on four streets in the Wailua Homesteads.
DOW employees, according to a press release, began to receive calls around 10:45 a.m. of no or low water pressure from customers in Wailua Homesteads and Wailua Houselots.
Officials located a main break to Kolopua Street and its three connecting distribution lines.
A water outage, according to DOW officials, has been placed on four streets in Wailua Homesteads — Kolopua Street, Kalili Place, Kanae Place and Kaima Place — until about 9 p.m. as crews continue to fix the leak.
Water has been turned back on to other streets in the Wailua Homesteads and Wailua Houselots area.
