Earl Edwards
Earl George Edwards of Niumalu, Kauai passed away on April 14, 2014 at home at the age of 73. Born on August 14, 1940, in Beverly Hills, California. He was a graduate of Roosevelt High School on Oahu class of 1958. He was an Aeronautical Engineer by trade but his passion was building boats.
He is survived by Jacqueline Jaye Gardner and son Tim Edwards.
He was buried in Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup, Washington on April 22, close to his mother and other family members.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2014, 2 p.m. at his yard in Niumalu. 2500 Niumalu Road.
Jeffrey Bauchmann
Jeffrey Mark Bauchmann of Koloa, Kauai passed away on March 2, 2014 at the age of 56. Born on February 19, 1958.
He is survived by his Mother, Dottie Carne, Step-Father Robert Carne, both from San Diego; brothers John Bauchmann from Roseville, Ca. Scott Bauchmann, David Carne and sisters Laurie Bauchmann Dotts, Cathy Reeve and Terri Carne all from the San Diego, and El Cajon area.
A celebration of life will be held for his family and friends on Saturday, May 10th from 2-5 p.m. at the West end Pavillion of Poipu Beach Park. Please join us, food will be served.
Norma Castillo
Norma Vega Castillo, 86 of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. Passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014 in Hilo, Hawaii at the Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born on September 22, 1927 in Lucena, The Province of Quezon, Philippines. She was a homemaker.
Preceded in Death by her husband Wallace Castillo.
She is survived by her: Seven Daughters; Zenaida (Richard) Sawyer of Hilo, Stephanie J. Castillo of Kapaa, Teresita Castillo of New York City, Deedee (Ivan) Ward of Vacaville, CA, Leslie (Garrett) Scales of Lawai, Patricia (Clifford) Furtado of Wailua, and Joanne (Peter) Brun of Koloa, Sharol Castillo (niece and hanai daughter) of Sacramento, California; Ami (Jan) Vergara (nephew and hanai son) of Largo, Florida; sister, Cely Vega of the Philippines; Sisters-in-law, Anita Castillo of Sacramento and Fely Vega of the Philippines; 17 Grandchildren, 38 Great-Grandchildren, 2 Great-Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 17 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, Lihue. Strange Land Documentary on Norma’s life at 9:30 a.m. Visitation at 10:30 a.m. Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 a.m. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Paul “Papa” R. Perreira of Pearl City, Hawaii passed away on May 5, 2014 at the age of 87. Born on July 18, 1926 in Kalaheo, Kauai. He Retired from Hawaiian Crane & Rigging.
Preceded in death by his daughter, Paulette Perreira.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes “Aggie” Perreira; son, Howard J. (Ulu) Perreira; Daughter, Valerie J. (Robert) Mata; Brother, Kenneth “Buddy” Perreira; sisters, Ethel Vierra and Barbara Boynton. 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 12, 2014, 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (1525 Waimano Home Rd., Pearl City); Memorial Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. Aloha attire is suggested and flowers omitted.
