Kauai Bulldogs quarterback Boogie Yam scored four touchdowns to lead the Kauai Youth Football Intermediate Division team to a 42-0 win over the Kapaa Warriors Saturday at Vidinha Stadium.
Yam lost little time getting the Bulldogs started, taking the first play from scrimmage using a fake handoff to split the Kapaa defense for a 60-yard score. He followed that with a 4-yard score, an 8-yard keeper in the second quarter and closed the half with a 21-yard score.
Jordan Belmodis added two point-after boots in the first half for a 26-0 lead.
Brycensen Abigania scored one of two touchdowns in the third quarter, a 20-yard run with Belmodis’ PAT boot making it 34-0.
Noah Tangalin, getting the call for quarterback, hit Austin Maghanoy on a 27-yard scoring pass to trigger the running clock on the 42-0 win.
The win gives the Kauai Bulldogs an undefeated spring season in the Intermediate Division for players in the sixth through eigth grades.
