LIHUE – In observance of King Kamehameha Day, County of Kauai offices will be closed on Wednesday along with all refuse transfer stations, the Kekaha Landfill, Kauai Resource Center, and the Kapaa and Waimea swimming pools. In addition, The Kauai Bus will be operating on a modified schedule.
Residential refuse pick-up will not be affected by the holiday and will continue as scheduled.
Puhi Metals Recycling Center will be open on the holiday, as well as all HI-5 bottle redemption centers that are normally open on Tuesdays, except for the Kauai Resource Center.
Regular business hours for county offices and services will resume on Thursday.
