Mahalo to Johnny Gordines (he said it’s a good thing Regina Carvalho keeps an extra pair of boots handy for the mayor) and the Hawaii Tropical Flowers & Foliage Association on hosting the workshop with Hitomi Gilliam of Canada and Lois Hiranaga of Maui.
Terry Gordines said Hitomi will be doing several more workshops around the state before going back to Canada.
Melissa McFerrin has been balancing several hats between the Koloa Plantation Days and The Shops at Kukuiula which will be hosting Wally Rita y Los Kauaianos, John Rivera (he got a special plate from Chef Mark Arriola of Merriman’s, Wednesday), Sean Pulawa & Friends, tonight at the Flavors of Kukuiula from 5 p.m.
Kim McDonough is on the tail end of her summer vacation, playing for the grand re-opening of Living Foods Market, and Helen Lacono was thrilled her granddaughter Kuulei Breen came to help during the Koloa Plantation Days version of the market.
