LIHUE — Shannon King of Kauai Coffee said the Kauai Hospice “Concert in the Sky” is not for the little guy.
“We had the smaller percolators last time,” King said. “This time, we got ‘The Mama.’ This is the same set up we use for the Visitor Industry Charity Walk and the recent Mayor-athon.”
King and Jorge DeLeon were readying their area for the Friday event, which opens its gates starting at 4 p.m. at the Vidinha Stadium soccer fields.
Tickets are available as walk-up only, said Tricia Yamashita, the Kauai Hospice Development director and chair of the Concert in the Sky. Adults are $15 and youth between 6 through 12 years old are $7. Children 5 and under are free.
Yamashita said this year, they will be featuring at least 30 vendors offering Kauai-made items as well as the lineup of food vendors, entertainment, and the Kids Zone.
The day was highlighted with the 3D fireworks show expected to light up the skies over Vidinha Stadium at 8:30 p.m.
