Kudos to Micah Finnila on thinking outside the box on the intern program because not all of the interns were college students. A lot of them are students at Waimea High School who got help from Bronson Nishida, a returning intern in experiencing the world (they got to work in all phases, including office, human resources, IT, and more) of agriculture.
Mahalo to Susan Tai Kaneko who was at the Kauai Soto Zen bon dance (Rev. Kosen Ishikawa said it’s the biggest one on Kauai!) chatting with Ed Nakaya who was busy at the shave ice stand. Alan Smith had a special guest he was escorting through the crowd, and kudos to Gerald Hirata on pulling everything together!
