KOKEE — A 25-year-old Maui man died Tuesday from injuries sustained in a fall from a Kokee trail.
The man had been hiking with two friends on the Waimea Canyon Trail at approximately 1 p.m. when he fell about 700 feet.
Rescue 3 aboard Air 1 responded to the scene and located the victim’s body at about 2:30 p.m.
The body was recovered, flown to Waimea Canyon Park, and then transported to Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital.
