Congratulations to Cheyanne Tannery (mom Wendy wanted to know how it feels to be on the barge from Oahu) on winning the Kauai All Girl Rodeo Association event Sunday. Cheyanne recently finished second in the barrel racing event at the state rodeo and will be joined by another Cheyenne, Cheyenne Andrade, who was elected the Hawaii Rodeo Queen when they travel to Rock Springs, Wyo., this weekend.
Kudos to Ed Kawamura on being installed as the Commandant for the Kauai Veterans Council (Quentin Belles is impressed with Judge Trudy Senda, who he said was the first woman judge to be appointed to the Kauai courts).
Ed is already gearing up for the Korean War Veterans ceremony Friday at the Kauai Veterans Center, and then it’s off to find Arnold Leong and the flying saucers (Gerald Hirata will have more at the Kauai Soto Zen bon dance next weekend) at the Kauai Hospice “Concert in the Sky.”
Have a fun and safe July 4th!
