LIHUE — New merchants and tenants at the Kukui Grove Center are holding a job fair 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Among those seeking to fill positions will be Ross Dress for Less and Kalapaki Joe’s, said Stacie Chiba-Miguel, real estate manager at Kukui Grove. Ross, scheduled for an early October opening, is looking to hire about 50 people.
“The new merchants will be joined by current Kukui Grove Center tenants who are looking to fill positions,” Chiba-Miguel said. “Additionally, tenants will be hiring for holiday positions as well. This means there will be opportunities for more than 100 positions.”
During the job fair, which will take place in the food court area following the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, job seekers can meet with human resource officers, store managers and representatives from Ross, Macy’s, Times Supermarket, Jamba Juice, Jeans Warehouse, Verizon Wireless, Genki Sushi, Foot Locker and Zales.
Additionally, the first 20 candidates who attend the fair and get hired will receive a $50 gift card from Kukui Grove.
WorkWise Kauai will also be offering mini workshops at the job fair.
“We had a very successful response to our last job fair held in March,” said Wade Lord, Kukui Grove’s general manager. “Many of our tenants are looking for quality people to join their companies. This is a great opportunity for Kauai residents to find employment with several of the top national and local retailers.”
Chiba-Miguel said during the March job fair, more than 100 jobs were filled and the gift cards bonus was a big hit.
