LIHUE — Kapaa High School Homecoming King Rudy Agoot treated Warrior football fans to a win Friday night during the homecoming celebration.
Agoot, the football team’s quarterback, threw for two touchdowns to Shane Davis, and kept the ball for his own score in Kapaa’s 29-0 shutout over Kauai High School before a near-capacity crowd at Vidinha Stadium.
And he was crowned off the field, too.
Agoot was named the Homecoming King, joined by Ariel Cummings, who was crowned Homecoming Queen and escorted onto the field by DJ Lacaden during the halftime festivities.
Eryka Keoho donned the banner of Ms. Warrior, escorted by Makana Hookano with Tory Alao wearing the crown of Ms. Touchdown, escorted by Kayden Palenapa.
Hazel-Lyn Jarquio donned the sash of Ms. Victory, escorted by Christian Jarquio to round out the homecoming royalty.
Class representatives included Taylor Relacion, escorted by Lexton Camat, and Kainani Moniz, escorted by Leighton Moniz, who representing the sophomores.
Tiala O’Brien-Roman, escorted by Mikala DeBlake, represented the juniors with Jasmine Carnate, escorted by Jonmark Alumpe, doing the honors for the senior class.
