Vivian Mandrigues
Vivian Penna Mandrigues of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on August 28, 2014 at the age of 86. Born in Lihue, Kauai on May 18, 1928. She was known for her many years of service at Kress Stores, Inc. and Hopaco.
Preceded in death by her parents Norbert and Adeline Penna, sisters Dora Penna and Elsie Debusca.
She is survived by 2 sons Melvin (Sheane) Mandrigues, Wailua, Vernon Mandrigues, Lihue. 3 grandchildren, Jonathan Mandrigues, Jason Mandrigues, Rhiannon (Brian) Mandrigues Morales, 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday September 8, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Lihue. Visitation at 9:00 A.M. Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Burial to follow at Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Kauai Mortuary Koloa, Kauai.
Shigeru Kiyabu
Shigeru Kiyabu of Wailua passed away on August 19, 2014 at the age of 94. Born on December 11, 1919 in Honolulu. He was a retired Carpenter of the Hawaii Carpenter’s Union.
He is survived by his children, Arleen (Roy) Hiraiwa, Ronald Harada, Bernard (Anne) Kiyabu, Cathay (Nobu) Matsuyoshi, Raymond Kaipo (Lovey) Napoleon and Starley (Jarret) Medeiros, 12 Grandchildren, 9 Great Grandchildren.
Private Services were held at the Lihue Public Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Dominga Arellano
Dominga “Donnie” (Tabalno) Arellano of Eva Beach, Hawaii, passed away on August 10, 2014 at the age of 71. Born on July 29, 1943 in Paraduan Norte, Aparri, Cagayan, Philippines she was a Graduate of Kauai High School Class of 1962.
She is survived by her husband, Ignacio “Iggie” B. Arellano Jr.; son, Brent (Elvie) Arellano; daughters, Ingrid (Jim) Fern, Elodie Arellano, Janae (Bill) Akiona, Heidi (Kevin) Kama; brothers, Roman (Celestina) Tabalno, Vince Tabalno, Henry (Louise) Tabalno, Ismael (Victoria) Tabalno; sisters, Maria Baltazar, Marcelina Bumacod, 20 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, September 9, 2014, 5:30 p.m. at the Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel; Wake Service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation also on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 8:30 a.m. at the Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel, Funeral Service at 9:30 a.m. Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Mililani Memorial Park. Aloha attire is suggested.

Augustin Pantohan
Augustin “Terry” Pantohan of Hanamaulu passed away at home on August 28, 2014, at the age of 81. He was born in Kahuku, Oahu on August 26, 1933, a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard; he retired from Crash and Rescue, Lihue Airport.
He is survived by one daughter, Robin Pantohan of Hanamaulu; one son, Terrence Pantohan of Kalaheo; 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeannie (Epifanio) Oroc and Flora Relacion; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with viewing from 8:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Pantohan family with arrangements.
