Kudos to Richard Kuga and his hard-working crew of retired teachers (and general Myron Dobashi) in putting together the event.
Joyce Takahashi was able to get Shinji Toga, Ph.D., of the National Institute of Technology in Toyama, Japan, to attend the event with his engineering students. Stu Burley made sure they all had In-Step hats and even arranged for a visit to the U.S. Navy base.
Janice Bond was helping Anne Barnes and Shelley Paik of the Kauai Island Utility Cooperative with the bicycle-powered generation unit which uses human power to fire up the different lamps and a fan, and Jin-Wah Lau of the Kauai Community College still had some mgambo pods and seeds among her collection of fruits and flora.
OK, time to see if a visit with Jaycie Kobayashi Apilado and all (!!!) the Zumba people is possible before the football game.
