Mary Mills is a Halloween baby (who’s going to the G.N. Wilcox Memorial Hospital Halloween parade?). She was working at the Spouting Horn lookout Sunday, weathering the storm at Risa’s Rainbow.
Brycen Hiraoka is helping Anna Henriques with the annual Nightmare in Waimea Haunted Village which is coming up Oct. 29 and 30 at the Lucy Wright Park from 6 p.m. Admission to this unique local-style Halloween feature is one canned good.
Waimea comes alive this weekend when Marty Leonard and Not My First Rodeo wakes the town Friday night from 4 p.m. at the Rotary Club of West Kauai’s Rotary Roundup at Wrangler’s Restaurant.
Saturday, watch out for the loose pumpkins (Sandy Kato-Klutke is giving away 25 at the Kauai Community Market from 11 a.m., first-come, first-served).
The rest will be floating around the Kauai Fall Fest which starts Friday with the Rotary Roundup on Saturday with the musical event connected with King Kaumualii at the Hoffgard Park starting at noon, and Sunday at the free Fall Fest Family Day from 11 a.m. at the Waimea Canyon Park.
