Miesha Rathbone
Miesha Meadows Rathbone, 61, of Kilauea, passed away Saturday, October 22 at home with her family.
Born December 30th, 1952 in West Virginia, she was the first child of Delma and Paul Stokes.
Miesha spent her days as a beloved mother and farmer with her husband in Moloa’a.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Bessie V. Rudisill, father Paul James Stokes and niece Amy.
Survived by her husband Paul Rathbone; sons Ian Robbins and wife Marie of Westlake, Ohio, Eric Robbins and wife Kate of Kilauea; step-son Brandon Rathbone of Kilauea; step-daughter Margot Becktell and husband Paul of Grand Junction, Colorado; her mother, Delma Ciesilski of West Virginia; four sisters, Sandra Chips of Maryland, Debra Fuhrmanec of Maryland, Diane Calendine of West Virginia, and Denise Pakacki of West Virginia; three brothers, John Ciesielski and wife Gail of Maryland, Michael Stokes of West Virginia and Bobby Pakacki Jr. of West Virginia; four grandchildren, lots of dogs and many foster brothers and sisters during her childhood years.
Miesha didn’t want a funeral but a celebration of her life to be held Saturday, October 25th at 2 PM on into the night at her and Paul’s Moloa’a Farm. Take Kuhio Highway to Koolau Rd (near the fruit stand) and look for the signs. Casual attire and pot luck/BYOB.
Annalene De Fries Spencer
Annalene Ku’uleionaona DeFries Spencer of Lihue, Kauai Passed away on September 27, 2014 at the age of 66 years old at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on February 1, 1948 in Oahu, Hawaii she was a retired Meal Clerk with the Hanalei Public School
She is preceded in death by her husband Earl Spencer, Sr., parents Arthur & Tamara DeFries daughter Gaylene K. Spencer, her grandson Naumu T.K. Spencer, and her two brothers, Arthur & Gaylord De Fries.
She is survived by her 3 children, Earl (Harilyn) Spencer, Jr., Lanakila Spencer, Sarahlene Spencer, her 2 sisters Kamala Mersberg and Edie De Fries, 2 brothers David “Boboy” (Sandy) De Fries, and Roland “Kari” De Fries, her hanai brother, Kea Kanealii, grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday October 26, 2014 at Kapaa Seventh Day Adventist Church from 9:00 am to 10:45 am; where services will be celebrated at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Kilauea Koolau Cemetery.
