Pauline Ibia was just getting excited about having a Walmart walking unit in the Lights on Rice parade, and turned around to show up at the Team Captains launch for the 2015 American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
Kudos to Patti Ornellas and her ACS ohana on a great launch! Ritchie Ogata of Bamboo Grill and Sushi did a masterful job of keeping his diners from getting too distracted by the antics of the colorful group.
Kudos also, to Renee Hamilton and her YWCA crew on another great Pink Sunday event. Melissa Uohara can’t miss events like this, and Missy Saiki was having a blast with the West Kauai Clinics and Mahelona Hospital tent, mixing and matching all those plastic foods.
Cynthia Chiang did double duty, opening with Taiko Kauai before settling in with the Malama Pono Health Services people. She said the Kauai Community Market is having its big holiday shindig Dec. 13.
