POIPU — Hawaii Life Real Estate Brokers, in conjunction with the Hawaii HomeOwnership Center, is hosting a free homeownership workshop from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday for Kauai residents interested in becoming first-time homebuyers.
The “Say Aloha to Your Landlord” event is taking place at Hawaii Life’s new Poipu office at the Shops at Kuku’iula.
“This free and public event will help Kauai residents who rent better understand the home purchase process and discover whether or not HHC can help them achieve their homeownership goals,” said JJ Leininger, broker-in-charge at Hawaii Life.
Representatives from Kauai County Housing, Old Republic Title Company and Peak Mortgage will also be speaking at the event, and available to answer questions.
“Homeownership seems like a distant dream for many residents on Kauai and the Hawaii HomeOwnership Center is here to help guide first-time homebuyers through the preparation and purchase process,” said Dale S. Tomei, education coordinator for HHC. “This organization intends to be a one-stop-shop of homeownership information and resources, providing classes about preparing for homeownership and understanding the purchase process, individualized and confidential counseling, workshops, referrals and post-purchase services.”
To register, contact Leininger at (808) 635-6580.
